as for a fire, larger rock on the bottom in a circle. built up one side so you can easily just lean more wood over the coals, if u find a flat rock you can lean it over too and make a simple oven.
for over night fire, 2 large logs stack on top with small tinder fire in the middle, top log can be kinda fresh so it burn slow as it dries from the small fire under it.
