Had a hankering for road kill and would hang with wild coyotes for up to a day at a time. I don't know about training but i think it would work out pretty well crossing with a dog bred for what you want. Remeber coyotes and wolves are NOT like most dogs, they want to wander more and might not like being inside and fenced up.
