Just because you are happy living in modern society and picking between one of the two main role models that the media shows, it doesn't mean that we have to accept it and choose between those travesties.
I've had a community project for the last two years. We learned sustainable (without complex technology) farming, some survival skills and how the live in such ways is wonderful.
I've had problems with the owner of the land and had to leave. Now I work my ass off and do porn on extra time to gather money to build the community again, now in my own land
Oh, and I'm only 26. Life is great if you go out of the beaten path. You don't need to be a workaholic neither a hippie to be part of a community. Cheers!
