Nearly off the grid living.

Well my life just got flipped turned upside down so my current plan is to get a mobile home on my sisters property. She has nearly 20 acers out in the country but still close (30 min) to a couple big cities.

I can just pick a spot and go crazy. I know you can buy a giant shed from home depot but by the time you build it out might as well have just gotten a mobile home. Its out in the country so basically no regulations except I cant run a business without a license.

So I will be NEARLY off the grid. I can get electricity and water from her main house easily enough. There's no source of running water to make a turbine and too many trees for solar to be viable unless I wanna cut them all down.

So like I was saying, is it REALLY cheaper to buy some big shed/barn and build it out? I see decent looking new mobile homes start at 30k that's like the price of a nice car.
