I got myself a Chinese grill, she says some parts are actually nice like that in the north-central area.Those are regions you would not go to as a tourist or for work, as there is little to nothing there and unless you know the language are unlikely to even get to (you'll get scammed by someone selling fake bus tickets or taken on an overpriced tour to a more touristy area).

I've been watching her videos again and honestly it doesn't look like she has props. Sure things look nice and clean, but it's all older traditional stuff mostly made of wood and metal, there's no plastic, which gives off a really pleasant natural vibe. Also you can see she does a lot of close ups of very specific stuff while not showing a lot of detail at some other times to hide imperfections, like you can kinda see her kitchen walls are old and beat up but it's dark enough that it doesn't look dingy, but it adds to the atmosphere.
She is really meticulous and you can see there's a lot of thought and preparation put into everything she does, but not in a fabricated way, but rather naturally, showing she takes a lot of care to create the image she is conveying. Also if you look at her hands and body you can see she moves with a purpose in a way that shows she's done this many times and knows what she is doing. Not to mention if you look at her channel, she only uploads a couple of videos a month at most, so it is completely believable she could do all that stuff and edit it with little to no help. She might not be a poor starving peasant, but at not point is it too much to do on her own.

The music, outfit, carefully constructed portrayal of an idyllic agrarian lifestyle... not to mention the professional production quality of the videos. Those shots are professional.
For me the biggest thing was the woman's skin. Her face and forearms and hands are a bit too clean and untarnished for someone who's experienced a life of doing this stuff. This sort of lifestyle shows on your face and it doesn't show on hers.

Another reason I don't buy it is again tied to producing these videos. She either has a professional filming crew and editor, or she is a wildly efficient worker. That very lifestyle being portrayed is one where everything takes a lot of time. I don't see how she also has time to do the actual labor of managing a channel or acquiring the hours of experience with technology to pursue a channel like this.

It just doesn't add up. The juxtaposition is too extreme and reeks of manufactured YT channel.

She didn't even start on YT, she only started uploading there after other people started uploading her stuff and claiming it was theirs, she was using Chinese media platforms since they have highly censured internet access.

It's an enjoyable channel. I personally like it and so do plenty of friends in different countries. You can find all kinds of crap online, for all kinds of people, you might not get it, but she has millions of subscribers and millions of views on her videos.

Yes the CCP has control of every major city and industrial center, down to having litteral spies in every hotel and appartement block to report on what goes on.
But when you it comes to most rural areas it's more up to the under funded local authorities and they care more about bribes than what people do as long as no one makes them look bad.

It's not hard to believe her videos would get millions of views since China has tens if not hundreds of millions of people who grew up in the country side before go to find work in a megacity hellhole. They pretty much are gonna eat up anything that reminds them of the last time they where happy and not eating sewer oil dumpling and lead paint.

Most likely it's just a girl who worked in entrainement in a big city before figuring out there was a huge market for this kind of content and she could make more money doing that without living in a city
