How do I become a fur trapper, is that something I can just go do? I live in a wetlands area in Missouri, no idea if this is even possible anymore cause I know literally nothing about the trade

Yeah. Your state has a Trappers' Association. Find them, find out when they have their weekend where they teach you how to trap and all of the regs, take the state test.

Fur market is ass rn. However raccoons and beaver are good (great) eats. It's not worth it to trap for money, but if you want meat, pelts to craft with or want to larp as a mountain man, it's the way to go. Peak /out/

Different anon here, but also interested in starting trapping for the pelts. I know with large animals you hunt, you can use their hides for a ton of things like waterskins, clothing, etc. What kind of crafts can you do with smaller animal pelts? Linings for clothes?
