PA bro’s, wife an I want to go camping at Allegheny National forest. Any good tips to finding actually secluded spots to set up camp or all the people complaining about shitty left camping sites just goobers who need to drive straight to where they glamp

Already did. Hard to discern destroyed camping spots vs pristine and secluded.

I have camped there for 6 weekends so far this year, most recently being last weekend

just go on the website and look for dispersed camping areas and set up wherever

I only camp where there are no people and no cell service for best immersion

Just bring bug spray, got eaten alive already

pic related, me in ANF a couple of weeks ago with temps at 50°F

I used to live in Warren Pennsylvania. Right in the Middle of the National Forest. I loved Chapman’s State Park and Hearts Content.

when I wake up from noises I just sternly say 'fuck off', if that doesn't do the trick then I immerge from my cocoon, weapon in hand, light on, pointed at the ground where the noise is

so far I scared the shit out of a deer in the ANF
