What kind of coffee/tea do you guys like to start a day with innawoods? I've been drinking cheap ass instant coffee since I was a kid which is fine, but I'd like to hear what other people's tastes are. Is it worth it to buy a gay little camping brewer or something?

I make my own tea bags of sorts with fresh ground coffee and bring a little baggie of hot chocolate mix and powdered whole milk. Just steep the coffee like tea and mix in a bit of the powder. It's a comfy way to start the day.

I use powdered milk, not creamer. It's like adding milk to your coffee, but not quite as good because it's not "real milk".

If you're in a winter climate then let the coffee cool to the ambient temperature, then take fresh snow and compact it into ice cubes and put them in your drink. Nothing like an iced mocha cappuccino innawoods.

If I'm having camp coffee it means I'm not in a big rush and not on a mission so I'll probably do a long cowboy coffee on the fire or a café turk on my butane stove. If I really decide I'll need a warm thing in the morning but I'm out by 5:30 I'll make a giant tea or hot chocolate in a thermos the might before

Put it on until right before the rolling boil starts upon which you remove it immediately, wait a moment for the grounds to set and serve

Do you use the same herbs for more than one cycle? I read that the original use is some kind of ritual shit where you will reach around the bowl after quickly drinking it and the next person will fill it with hot water again.
Isn't it possible to pack this stuff inside a tea egg and just do it like a normal person?

Lately it's been a thermos I make before at home for overnight quick camps. I also just don't have a coffee maker and can't find my little camp stove. If I have the stove, I just make instant with that. My buddy has a French press in his van - if that's an option, that's the best one. Chill breakfasts near the van before an anlpine (or late) start. Yeehaw let's get out

As for me, I usually keep a small french press on me for such occasions and enjoy my coffee black with a packet of fake shitty honey. When I'm with friends I bring my percolator out with me and make cowboy coffee.

When its especially cold out i will prepare my coffee with a 2 oz can of condensed milk and have that double as a hot caramel coffee in the morning.

True that it’s not the most compact, maybe it’s just because I used them all the time at work but I think for the quality it produces it’s pretty easy. Pop in a filter, dose some preground out of a ziplock and pour in your hot water. The hollow in the plunger is an easy place to tuck away spare filters and your coffee grounds too. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
