How many BTUs should one be looking for in a camp stove? I'm looking at purchasing a gas powered stove for cooking for 1-2 people when car camping during fire bans and was looking at a model that's capable of putting out 10,000 BTUs, but then I read that hot plates and electric stovetops like I've cooked on for most my life normally put out less than 7,000 BTUs. Now I'm wondering how much I really need since I almost never turn a burner up at home outside of quickly heating larger quantities of water than could fit in any pot I'd bring camping.
