I've finally decided to get a kayak. Once I started researching though I got a little overwhelmed with options. I didn't realize there were so many details to decide on. Looking for buying advice.

I think mostly I would be doing lake paddling, but would like the option to switch it up. Occasionally fishing but probably not the primary function.

Would like something quality, but Don't want to drop $1k either.
