So I expressed interest in just living innawoods to a friend who owns a bunch of land, and he said he would be willing to let me do just that along with moderate assistance (a bag of rice here and there, ammo when needed, etc.) if I help him build a house there. What sort of encampment is appropriate for living in the Northwest Florida woods for multiple years? I can't really build a mud hut since the ground is made of sand, and I'm not sure a tent would last that long.
