Shelter even without a tent is pretty easy on beach-mode, it gets a bit windy though and the ground can get pretty cold. Theres a lot of trees in close proximity so a hammock would work well.. Theres some small game out there but its better just to get food from the ocean unless you know what you're doing. Best advice is just walk around for a few hours and get familiar with the beach and rockpools. Even if you're slightly proficient in high country victoria you will dominate the beach.
