Ruger 10/22 is you like semi-auto. It's inexpensive, reliable, comes in many variants, the BX-25 mags are really good, and there's a huge aftermarket support for it. CZ 452/455/457 if you like the finer things in life. The CZ is a really nice little bolt-action. The 457 is the current model. The 452 and 455 are discontinued, but you can still find them. Don't be afraid of buying used, just make sure the price and condition are right.
I'm not a shitlib, but don't kill things just for fun, that's fucked up. If you're gonna eat that squirrel or rabbit then go for it.
