My friend is super keen on this Gregory 65L pack (https://www.rei.com/rei-garage/product/162511/gregory-stout-65-pack-mens) as a cheap jack of all trades. It’s light, cheap, made by a reputable company, and suitable for day or extended hikes.
I just want one backpack for all /out/ activities, light enough for a day trip but capable of a multi-day excursion if I want. For the category, price, build, etc is this really a god tier choice? If not, what could compete with it?
