>>1812597That’s pretty small if OP wants to run AC, fridge, plus some small stuff. He might want more like 4kW. I have a 6000-7000W and it hasn’t had any issues with fridge, microwave, bunch of lights, TV, and all the chargers. 2kW would probably be fine if OP just wanted fridge and chargers, but I would go bigger with the AC.
Those Predator Inverters are supposed to be great considering the price of Hondas, they’re super quiet too. I have a regular non-inverter guy and it has been fine, my TV is going through a surge protector anyway, I think most electronics will be safe on halfway decent modern non-inverter ones.
>>1812575Don’t forget to get some heavy duty extension cords for the high demand devices. You’re going to start a fire if you try to run an AC off daisy chained xmas light cords. And a handful of 5gal gas cans, you will burn through it if you want that AC overnight.
Anything with a Honda or Yamaha or known brand of motor should be solid. Generacs are nice too. Small motors like that are so simple, they will probably run for years and years if you drain the gas, but parts availability is a concern if you get no-name stuff. You can get some decent 4kW-6kW non-inverter generators for like $500.
