What exactly are they asking? My sense of PA forests is that the land is nice but the trails that are less popular like Buchanan State Forest (according to online info) are not maintained very well.

This is state game lands, not forest I guess but this trail looks intriguing:

Which trails do you enjoy in PA state forests? I'm in DC and always looking for good nearby PA hikes.

I did the survey. Part of me thinks they won't do shit, I mean, look at every other PA department. PennDOT just ripped up every main road in my area and has yet to actually repave any of it.

Hey that's one of my favorite short trails from when I lived in Chambersburg. The trail is barely used, barely maintained, hard to follow, and incredibly rewarding. The waterfall is the most isolated and comfy waterfall I've been to. Nice beaver dam at the bottom of the falls. Crossing wire bridges is always fun too, there are two here.
