Just got into fishing. Quick question for more experienced fishing bros.
I went ahead and bought myself a fairly cheap rod as I'm not sure how into the sport I'll get. Mostly bought it as something to pass the time during while out. On my first cast I snapped the tip off the rod... I was curious if its possible to trim the rod down to the next eyelet without changing anything to drastically. I thought about returning the rod, but it might not be worth the drive into town.
Keep in mind I'm still very new to this and might not be experienced enough to notice the nuances a shorter rod might change.
