In Florida (where I live) it's an intensive inspection process to convert bus title to an rv title.
Vermont will do it by mail with a notarized affidavit and money order. Since the bus is older than 15 years, only a copy of the title was needed.
They sent me a transferable registration (Vermont version of a title) and plates. Now it's legally an RV, and my regular class E license covers any vehicle under 26,001 pounds OR any RV.
The bus is 36,000 pounds with air brakes, but it's all legal. Insurance was cheap, had to go through an independent broker.
