Hey /out/

I am wanting to purchase a new machete. I've never owned such a tool, so I have no idea where to start.

But I am seeing alot of things when I go innawoods now where a machete would be extremely useful (even more than my hatchet).

I'm also assuming it's more light weight than my hatchet and can serve other uses other than chopping.

What size should I look at, design, steel, handle material, brand?
I'd like to have one with a saw back as it would help harvest game easier (sawing off bone and antler for larger game) as well as sawing fallen limbs for "cleaner" cuts rather than chopping. Would having a saw back inhibit batoning in anyway?
