Anyone have experience with /out/ in Minnesota? I fish and do normie camping, but I'm sick of people right next to me. My only experience camping is up in the Rockies with my uncle as our guide and 4 or 5 week long trips to the boundary waters. (Not way out there, we just rented a boat and went to an island and set up camp. It had a fireplace even. We had a huge tub of food.)
How do I start packing out to the woods and setting up camp? Where are some good spots near me?
I've been doing my own research, but I figured you guys know best. Any tips? How many days is reasonable for a first time backpack camping trip? Anyone know cool places where I can camp in Minnesota?
I would love to go somewhere it would be possible to catch and cook fish. I want to try trapping some rabbits or something, but that's probably illegal or something.
