The Lanshan 2 tent has somewhat of a cult following. It’s a typical non-freestanding single pole pyramid design. It’s not unique or innovative, but it’s like $130, so definitely the cheapest tent for the weight.

There was a video of someone doing a hydrostatic head test on some kind of Chinese gear (dunno what it was) and it failed horribly.

Just some caution. Those hammocks are typically pretty short; around 9’ long. The length of a hammock (not it’s width) will determine how flat you can lay. Most cottage vendors are making backpacking hammocks 11’ long for that reason. You can lounge in a $20 hammock all day, but sleeping might be an issue (if you’re not a manlet).

I got this Hillman tent for my 9yo to back yard camp. $120 NZ rupees. Now use it over my $1100 MacPac tent. It’s fucking awesome in alpine conditions. Ultra taught, well designed, waterproof, seam sealed, high tub floor, ripstop fabric throughout... it’s the shizz.
I hate buying Chinese but can’t find a reputable tent not made there regardless of US/EURO branding.

I know a couple of people who use those light orange Naturehike tents, and they are pretty happy with them. They obviously get some wear over the years, but which tent doesn't?
Personally I got me some Y shaped tent stakes from Ali because Big Agnes are fucking jews and don't include enough, and their V shaped stakes aren't the most convenient. I think it was also a Naturehike brand, and I sharpened them with a dremel as well.
Other than that I have a mosquito net that is worn over a hat, and cheap Copozz ski goggles because I snowboard maybe a week in a year and don't want to spend a hundred something on proper expensive ones.
