Have any of you been hiking/climbing in the Tatras?
How is it in general?
I live in the Baltics and was thinking about going down there for a few days. I've done some general mountain hiking in the Alps and summited Olympus before, particularly enjoyed the scramble to the summit, so I'm not a complete noob but far from an expert. How does Gerlachovsky stit compare? Is there much scrambling or mostly hiking? (I would prefer the former). Is it true that you are only allowed up there with a guide because of some bio-preservation shit?
