some details. first time camping. We did the valley campgrounds the first night and last night. did 2 days on the trail. We didn't loop but did Tenaya Lake to Sunrise Lakes (storm clouds over us for most of the day once we got there then got an amazing sunset, see pic) then to clouds rest and down to little yosemite and back down to the valley by nevada falls

I've never been to Yosemite, but I started getting bored with Yellowstone after about 3 or 4 days there.
Oh look another pit of boiling mud.
The scenery is nice but not spectacular.

Yellowstone is 3 times larger than Yosemite, has a damn 140 sq mile lake (including hundreds of miles of fishable streams/rivers), over 1,000 miles of back country trails, large native fauna and predators, gets colder than arctic Norway in winter (keeps the normies out), isn't full of c*lifornians, and has excellent developed containment zones that tourists and normies never travel more than a couple miles from. You have to be a pussy or a retard to not find Yellowstone as the ultimate /out/ national park in the lower 48.

It's not just about "scenery" you bunch of grogs, knowing what is *causing* that "scenery" is a significant portion of the total. Then there's the abundant large wildlife to throw into the mix. I've yet to visit Yosemite so won't put forth a comparison, but did live at Yellowstone in 98/99, and it's difficult to imagine an overall more incredible place on Earth, all things considered.

hydrothermals are a interesting for about 5 minutes. I could spend hours playing in a waterfall. But it's not your fault you got dropped on the head so often.

Anyone saying "X is more interesting then wildlife" would be beneath contempt. I haven't been to either parks in ... decades. I just remember being bored in Yellowstone, though drinking soda water from the ground was interesting. I do remember being blown away by how beautiful Yosemite was.

The park is literally 3,500 sq miles retard and no major cities over 100k for hundreds of miles unlike commiefornia. There's a huge amount of back country. I bet 90% of the people voting for yosemite have never actually been to Yellowstone or Wyoming, probably all just urbanite c*lifornians who have easy access to yosemite. Pic related is also right next door, which also has dozens of smaller water falls.

I lived next to Yellowstone for 5 years and went a couple times a year and backpacking once. It's fun, but can be a bit boring because it's hard to see a lot of variety without a ton of driving. I personally think glacier is the best park I've been to, would be better if it was less crowded.
