I think you hit the bricks, start walking at a decent pace and don't stop. You can make it in just under 24 hours. You're going to be wrung out when you get there, but I think you could cover 70 miles, assuming you knew the route, in these conditions before succumbing to heat exhaustion and dehydration at that pace and that it would be the best option. On the other hand, if you misjudge and over exert yourself it is GG. I still think you gotta bust ass and get back nonstop..
