I went /out/ for a bit last night, did a little star gazing. Went about 4 miles out of town, not properly dark, but dark enough for my purpose. I brought along my cheap 10x50 bushnell binos, and my little 3" orion go scope.
Spent some time oogling NEOWISE, appreciating its pale green majesty.
Got to see jupiter, the 2 biggest cloud bands, the 4 galilean moons, and thought i caught the red spot.
Looked over to saturn, and just made out some striping in the atmosphere, and the big gap in the rings.
Got to take a peek at mars, but i couldnt get a clear picture.
I even tracked the ISS in my little scope for a few seconds. Its was hauling ass from NW to N, maybe 10° up from the horizon. Only made out the basic shape of it.
10/10 would go again.
