Can someone redpill me on the superior choice of a hiking pack frame? Osprey sells these frames that look good for sweaty backs but in return, the actual pack is further away from your back thus fucking with your weight distribution. Am I wrong or right?

Best pack I've ever owned.

It only LOOKS further since the mesh isn't compressed. Once you get the thing loaded and strapped to your body it's fine.

If you live in a country that didn't fuck up during the pandemic you should go out and try one to see for yourself.

How you pack your bag will have enough of an impact on the weight distribution that the cm or two of extra space is negligible.

Atmos 65. I'm paranoid about my gear so I do my best to keep the mesh safe. After a few years there's only one cut in the mesh which doesn't seem to affect performance.

It's stretchy which makes it less durable to abrasion than the non-stretchy parts.

I am using the Levity 60

only been on short hikes in the dry.. holding up fine, but i think i have to be careful with it.. i am a somewhat ultralighter

I'm considering the Atmos 65, but there's also the Baltoro 65 which is slightly cheaper.
Are Gregory packs as good as Osprey?

I rented a similar frame pack while trekking in Nepal. Bought the successor of it, a Jack Wolfskin Orbit 26 (28 for larger back) RECCO, since the non recco is not available in most places. Best pack I used, my other choice wouldve been the osprey stratos 24.
