Is nature out to kill me?

No.1834230 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Does anyone else sometimes get the very distinct feeling, that nature is trying its very hardest to eliminate you from the gene Pool? I work innawoods but am seriously considering getting into a different field now.

So far I have been hospitalized twice on mother nature's account.

Once with a severe case of tick-borne encephalitis. It had me completely out of my mind, at times struggling and failing to express myself through sprech or any other way, screaming with pain. I suffered temporary loss of vision and temporary paralysis and it took about three months for the spasticities in my hands to fully go away.

About a year later, I collapsed with an anaphylactic shock after I got stung by a hornet at work. I blacked out in a matter of minutes and were it not for my colleagues, who called an ambulance and drove me back to base I would have definitely suffocated.

Currently, again, about a year lauter, I am dealing with lyme disease after I got bit by a tick in the end of June (the first one I had in more than a yeae). While at first the antibiotics seemed to keep the shit at bay, the past week symptoms have returned and I am now living with constant headaches and little to no sleep. Doctor now wants to take spinal fluid and if nothing shows, go for an mri

>mfw my neurologist just told me I need to get (another) lumbar puncture

Am I just weak or did I anger the gods somehow?
