>>1840259ok, so you will be on alpine ice then? really the only physical exercise i can think of to help would be squats. thats mostly what your legs will be doing. otherwise, alpine ice climbing is really more about maneuvering properly and having balance than actual strength or endurance. this can only be learned through practice.
for the high elevation, truthfully the only way to prepare is to experience high elevation. you can be in really good shape to help but you wont really know how elevation effects you personally until you are up there. ultimately theres no way to fully prepare for it, altitude sickness can set in any time regardless of how fit or acclimated you are.
