Here AZ we sold a truckload of mesquite, dry cured wood, for 120$. Not split but mostly jammed in truck with about 2foot high from center edge of top truck side.
One old man we delivered to took it and stacked it inside of two posts 8 feet apart. It filled it 2/3 way. Paid me n friend( we teenagers).
Years after that heard guys selling it for 250$ and smaller loads. But they would truck it about 100 miles to bigger towns away from us way out in the sticks. The big towns had made everything into fields and fenced off everything for 50 miles around the city.
Where we lived was all wildlands and open country.
