Hey /out/, my older brother and I just finished a 70 mile section of the Highline Trail in the High Uintas of Utah. We started at Chepeta Lake (pic related) and ended at the trailhead near Mirror Lake. Almost the entire trail stays above 10,500’. It took us over 7 passes, 3 of which were over 12,000’. We hiked it in 5 days and 4 nights. We’ve been planning this trip for about 7 months. My brother is a mountain goat and I was in terrible hiking shape when we committed to doing this so I had to train pretty hard just so I could keep up with him.
I’m gonna be posting pics and stories in this thread for the next couple days. We had an awesome adventure with some scary moments and we met some great people along the way. I’ll answer as many questions as I can. Enjoy.
