Not OP but im looking to take off and head to the Alberta side of the Rockies sometime this month but I dont want to pay any exorbitant park fees. Ive been camping on crown land all my life in the Yukon/Northern Saskatchewan but im looking for a change of scenery and dont want to deal with cucked national parks. Are there any worthwhile national forests along the Alberta side of the Rockies? Im going through Google but all I can seem to find are more Parks

I haven't really looked for them out there, but fossils are pretty common in the foothills before you get into the mountains.
