TNF, Rab, Arcteryx, Fjallraven and a few others are incredibly common to see on people who don't even walk about town let alone out of town. Obviously arcteryx however doesn't only focus on fashion, it's just picked by people here because it's expensive. I can't say anything though because I have a Fission SV myself but it's been a good companion on a lot of hill climbs now.
It just makes me question their reliability because I'm quite prone to being rough. Whether it's climbing up a random route on Ben Loyal on my hands and knees because it's so steep or because I'm trudging through bogs and rivers. My stuff tends to face a beating. The last thing I want is to find out my clothes were just designed to look cool instead of be functional when the worst hits.
