Anyone else doing any geocaching lately? I just got into it a couple months ago.

I just placed my first geocache. It is the first underwater geocache on the big lake near me. I am still waiting for it to be approved.

I did geocaching once-- with my hippie relatives way back in the day. I was like 13 or 14 and they dragged me along with them. The cache was in an altoids tin out in the scrubs, and when we found it, we couldn't get it open. I ended up stepping on it in an attempt to get the lid off because I got impatient, which just bent it all up. Everybody got mad at me for ruining the whole thing. Then we went back to the motel. It was gay and dumb, and it will forever be the kind of thing that only rich yuppie liberals do, in my mind.

I just use the Geocaching app on my phone. I have heard that the Etrex is more accurate. But the phone app is easy to use.

Kids do it. Paint a rock, leave somewhere random. I’ve got a 9yo that collects them from parks, playgrounds, beach etc.
