>>1852134As a guy who works in the forest service our forests are overrun. It's like absolute peak holiday season, but 24/7. Now is the worst possible time to go to anything even remotely accessible by car. Anything accessible by RV should not even be considered.
Throw in the fact that the insufferably stupid tourists are now coughing all over the place and you have a recipe for a bunch of stressed out staff. You'd think you'd be able to get away from people in the woods but with the visitor centers refusing to let in lots of people they just spread out and bother anyone remotely official looking wherever they can find them.
Do yourself a favor, go as far out in the sticks as you can. If you can drive a car to it, it ain't far enough. All the campgrounds are at max capacity as are lots of hotels. They then spill out into dispersed camping and in some forests are so bad they've overrun those too. It sucks
