I would take that over suburbia any day of the week. There's at least signs of life in those concrete commie towers. Compared to the endless expanse of individual micro-worlds of suburbia, each willfully ignorant of each other. Confining, crowded, surrounded by 'people' simultaneously disinterested yet judging. Enough interaction to strip the fun of anonymity, but not enough to build a relation.
And so there's nowhere to go but stay home, in your own little bubble. Everywhere else being 'someone else's space'.
God I despise the suburbs. Literally anywhere else would be better, be it country or city proper.
