Where you been lately? Any favorite spots, preferably relatively free of city cunts?

SEQLD here. Thinking of heading to Conondale at some point. Anybody been there, or any other SEQLD/NSW forests?

Beechmont is a hive of decent tracks, though tourists tend to get them shutdown pretty quick.

Yeah, early in COVID lockdowns I was hiking down Denham falls a few times a week, but now that shit's starting to pick back up again I'm going to need to find some new spots

Iktf. I did the Mt warning climb and was very comfy. Saw 3 people on the way up and no one was at the top.
Going to do it again with a mate at 3am so we can watch the sun rise from the top before all the tourists ruin the track again.

thanks. Here's a quick outline.
>start from dunphy's camp.
>to medlow gap and up to mt mouin
>along the range to splendour rock
>down thommos chain to camp along the cox
>out to dunphys via breakfast creek the next morning
There's heaps of good stuff to check out in the southern blueys, walking and nav is easy right now because of the fires.
If you haven't walked in the area before try doing the K2K (once kanagra reopens)

yeah, heaps of them around sadly. Lots of the rivers are choked with blackthorn and cobblers pegs too.

Serous question, i live between nsw-vic border.
Are there any good places? Never been /out/ my entire life.
Now that iv'e got my drivers loicence, my my perant's cant tell me i cant go /out/, fuck them.
Also, does anyone have any tips?

you're in a good area for /out/ bro. the victorian alps and snowies are both great.
are you interested in hiking? 4wd camping? fishing? get some gear together an plan a trip.
Would recommend starting with some local bushwalks and easing your way into overnight camping.
A cool goal would be visiting some bush huts, you can usually stay at them for free. There's a map here: https://khuts.org/webmap/leaflet/index.html#9/-36.1693/147.8879

Also this might be a slightly retarded question but whats the likelihood of me encountering the the native bush psychopath? I sure ass hell don't want a .308 stuck in my head when camping /out/.
Also what gear should i bring ?

Mt Kosiosco from Charlottes pass. If you are experienced I recomend doing it while it is still snowy there or do the shorter walk to Blue lake. Same track it just forks off between the two.
