Cons:
Winter:
-42F in freak winters, normally -10F to -15F max for 1-2 weeks. Once had 4 feet of snow regularly, but now it rarely snows in the winter and is rarely under 35F. It rains and everything is fucking mud 2/3 of the time.
Summer:
110F to 115F max, usually stays around 95F with 80% to 90% humidity and 100% humidity for around two weeks of summer, usually Dog Days. It's been getting more humid each year. Everything is wet and sticky with humidity.
Power outages, natural gas outages, and communication outages can happen for 2 weeks at a time due to storms in winter or summer.
Oil and Natural Gas companies are turning everything into a big fucking cesspool.
Fishing is ruined now that you can't eat any wild fish without first consulting the regulations and dietary recommendations about mercury and PCBs.
Pros:
-I can piss off the back porch and there's never anyone to see.
-I can go most of the day on some days without hearing anything man made.
-Hunting is pretty good, though I don't hunt anymore.
-I'm 100% debt free and own my own land.
