>>1867003It's fucking horrible. When I was 18 and in military I was a part of a really big training operation where our team was supposed to cover one part of border in middle of forest. It was a really cold winter where the weather fluctuated between -20 to -36 degree celcius. Also there was ony 4 hours of sunshine.
Only place comfortable was the tent with the fire going and that was only allowed during nighttime. Even then one of us had to constantly put wood into the tent oven.
Outside the tent it was constantly cold even with 4 proper layers of clothes. But tje cold was not the worst part. The worst part was that your bottled water froze so fast that you were constantly thirsty. Or when you tried to cook and all your cold metallic cooking gear bite your fingers.. Or the fact that you try to hold your shit for as long as possible due to how uncomfortable it is to take a dump in the cold and dark.
It's terrible. Don't do it unless you are really hardcore.
