I'd rather go to Yellowstone and at least get my own campsite. Glacier is beautiful and the best parts are in the Backcountry but I'd rather experience solitude.

It's not bad but I personally wouldn't do it alone or recommend anyone else do.

You just need to learn how to be bear aware and carry spray or a pistol. Personally, I sleep with a pistol in my tent as a last resort but I prefer the spray when I'm hiking unless it's windy.

I've seen bear spray stop a sow with a cub. You just need to be ready to grab it fast.

I'd say roughly 90% of my backpacking/camping/hiking experience has been in grizzly country and it's definitely not something to take lightly. I make a lot of noise and I won't even sleep in clothes that I eat in. The best way to go in a group of 4 or 5 people because you'll naturally make a good amount of noise.
