What are the best states for owning a vegetable garden? I currently live in Tucson Arizona and I don’t think it’s suitable to cultivating veggies I can eat.

Literally any state that isn’t in a fucking desert, moron. If you want to maximize the amount of months with temps, then go to the deep south. The only problem is that they get too hot. I had a veg garden in Louisiana and the summer were so hot that only the heat-loving peppers would survive without covering them in a shade. But most years you can grow from March to November so the volume is greater if you time things right.

Consider signing up for a local CSA or visiting a farmers market and seeing what's available. It looks like climate control is needed for year round harvests but I bet you can grow plenty of veggies during the winter. If nothing else you could have an awesome herb garden I bet.

Probably the Bay Area is best. But you can probably grow a lot more than you think where you live too. There's farms everywhere pretty much.

You sound stupid, the parts of oregon and idaho in your picture that are deserts are the onion and potato and mint and barley and other top producers in the USA, same with California they are successful because they are deserts and water is applied as needed instead of from rain. Farmland in the idaho desert is $10,000-$20,000 an acre

You already have a 300 day growing season in Tuscon, you can grow almost anything you want with enough water. Although the vegetables that do best there would be ones that are drought and heat tolerant. I grow cucumbers, tomatoes, peas, sunflowers and squash 100 miles to the north.
