What are some good binoculars /out/? I'm looking for some quality ones that wont break the bank.

I got these for 60 bucks canadian at walmart, I've used them for almost 10 years watching animals, aircraft, trespassers, and ufos. Even looking at the stars on a clear night is interesting. I treated them like shit but they still work and the glass is still pretty clear.

10x25 binoculars are ubiquitous and generally idiot proof. I have a couple that have been tossed in packs for camping and hunting for over a decade. My guess is any example from a reputable brand will serve you just fine.

Vortex diamondback are affordable. It is as good as the similarly priced nikon but has a way better warranty.

Personally, for warranty alone I bought Vipers over swaros, though the euro glass is clearer.

Would personally suggest Monarchs, they're lightweight and durable and well worth the price. Been using mine for birding for a decade and they've endured a lot of hardship.

I've got the smaller folding ones (Bushnell H2O 8x25), and for the price they're pretty good. I use them all the time even though I have a "better" set of 7x50s because they're good enough and more compact.

I had a compact pair when I was a scout where each of the 4 lenses folded, it had a mirror and a compass

I really liked it, not sure what happened to it or where to get another one

I can pick out a white tail out to about 600 yd with mine, if that helps you decide. No durability issue with them having gone on about 6 hunts and ~300 mi of hiking so far.

If you can afford something with HD glass it would boost your range.
