So my usual summer camping spots--even in the backcountry--were overrun by covid-ridden third worlders and LARPing cityfags. I want to enjoy them in the winter seeing as the cold will scare off even the most intrepid of instathots, but the gear is even more expensive than my ultralite shit. Obviously if I had the cash to burn I'd get pic related and buy a whole new sleeping bag, but for those of us who can't afford to drop a g on a tent or a bag, what are the cheaper options? And yes, I'd be camping at altitude (~10k feet) and likely snowshoeing up, unless I can get AT boots and bindings and skins. Considering biting the bullet and getting a TNF mountain 25 and a fancy bag liner for my 20℉...
