>>1898773AZ, there's 17 peaks in the state over 10,000ft (and 93 peaks between 9,000-10,000ft) and depending on what part of the state there's several different kinds of forests. Walnut, maple, ash, sycamore, aspen, oak, firs, pines, and even a single species of cypress tree overlap in mixed forests on slopes in the 6-7,000ft range in the state, either at the low end of their elevations or the high end. Every western state also has large forests, save for Nevada which has smaller forests broken by swaths of desert between ranges. In fact mountains are sometimes the only locations you'll find forests in some places due to the effects of orographic lift.
