I wouldn't be surprised to see benchmade give up considerable marketshare in the near future given that China is producing knives of the same or better quality for half the price, you can get a knife in M390 for the price of a base model benchmade. Its actually stunning to me how many bugouts they have sold, I guess if you get enough shills the people will buy buy buy
The one thing I will say is benchmade at least has a decent warranty and sharpening service, but by no means is it out of the ordinary compared to any other american company (many of which have moved some manufacturing to taiwan or china and will undercut the outrageous prices of benchmade)
