Not super long term, but I plan on camping in some woods behind my house. it's a 57 acre wooded lot, and I already have permission from the landowner to camp back there. It's just a matter of carving out a chunk of time to go back and check it out

I know it's very generic, but I would really like to hike the AT. Thinking about doing it either after college if i choose to go back, or by age 25 (22 now). I would also like to visit every park. I don't just mean national parks, I'm talking state parks and state forests as well. and lastly, I would like to do a U.S. roadtrip again. I drove from Ohio to California when I was 19, and it was one of the best 2 months of my life so far. I can't wait until I get the opportunity to do it again.

Trying to get all my outdoor shit together and buy /out/ items I still need in order to get out next spring. Got a couple of smaller Items but the biggest hurdle is buying the warbonnet blackbird XLC with all the shit I want and need with it to get outdoors.

Next spring I would like to get out to more conservation areas since Missouri has so many decent areas/access. I am an obese neckbeard but getting out is part of my path to fixing lifelong poor choices and I would like to get fit enough that by hopefully next fall I can take a week or two off work and hike the entire MKT trail from East to West all 240 some odd miles.

I have heard so many things about the Appalachian trail that I really want to hike the entire thing one day but thats a pipe dream due to my current obese state but hopefully I can get fit enough to do it once whether it is in sections or all at once.

I'm pretty sick and frail but spent a nice week in the Alps this year and realised hiking/going on walks is a good way to combine mental and physical wellbeing. So I got some proper shoes and will start going on longer walks and trips with my gf. We're not close to actual mountains but there's plenty of nature.

More vacations in the Alps, more intermediate hikes. No climbing and probably just light camping for one or two nights because of my illness.
I want to swim in a remote mountain lake and eat a Jausenbrettl at an Alm where there's literally only one guy and his cows.

Kilimanjaro. I think there's no climbing involved, just a week-long trek. I feel like that's achievable for me if I really go for it, in maybe five to ten years. Anything more than that I don't even want, fuck dying lol

in america, we take people's traditions and use them how we want. That right there is an Americanized cairn. cheap, fast, and disposable. We can set 20 of those up in an hour of walking down a trail and each time get a nice little endorphin rush from sustaining a cultural tradition. It would take a team of men half a day to make the old world cairns, this way is much more economical

The PCT is a big goal, but it is fucking incredible. If you have the freedom in your life to put aside 5 months and 5000$ and hike you should absolutely do it while you still can.

I hiked it when I was 18 with no responsibilities which made it super easy, I didn't have to leave a career, apartment or SO behind to hike it. Doing it later in life gets harder. If you have the freedom now, hike it while you still can.
