I'm an average college student living in an American city. I don't have much money and I have even less time.

But I yearn to live a rustic life, away from a large city and being as self sustaining as possible. Yet I know the extent of this life I want to live is impossible.

As I said, I want to know how I could run away from it all, while still having enough money to have a home and care for myself and my animals and family.

If it helps, I'm studying to become a nurse, my parents (and myself in a way) are expecting me to go to med school and become a doctor. I'm currently employed, but making minimum wage.
