I used to be a safety kayaker for a rafting company.
Heaps of cunts have asthma, and don't carry an inhaler because "I haven't had an attack for ages".
You know what happens when someone falls into cold water? Fucking asthma attack.
Initially I carried one that someone left with me.
Used it up in a few weeks.
Someone else forgot one. Used it up.
Ended up explaining situation to my doctor who gave me a prescription for inhalers.
I always carry one now when /out. You'd be surprised how often I've loaned or given them away. Even just at the beach with the boy.
I've got one permanently in my PFD, camera bag, and day pack.
Maybe I'm just an asth-magnet, who knows.
Has definitely saved a few lives though when miles from help.
