Apparently zoomers don't even know how to tie their shoes. This is not gatekeeping, if you can't figure out how to keep your shoes in your feet when your shitty plastic clip fails or your Velcro gets all mudded you, yet gunna die. Beyond that knowing some basic knots makes all that stuff deemed manly that much easier. You think those street wear people look cool when they can't even secure a load on top of their Civic or whatever they drive. Can zoomers even drive?
Anyway some useful knots:
1. Alpine butterfly. Nice way to put a loop in the middle of rope when both ends are loaded.
2. Munter hitch. Emergency rappel.
3. Girth hitch. Attaching/hanging things from other things.
4. Bowline. Fixed size loop at end of rope. Attach it to things.
5. Clove hitch. Simple non-slip. Learn this, use it for everything.
6. Truckers hitch. Secure your load!
