The self sufficiency meme is the dumbest, most childish most destructive fantasy amongst the kids of today. Not only is high quality food available for free in every state in the USA through snap or foodbanks but you will have to work like a dog and end up a skellington and die of malnutrition. So instead of focusing on the things you need to live like shelter, energy, healthcare, transportation and entertainment which cost way more than food you pretend that you are going to be a hunter gatherer farmer John as you sit in your basement waiting for mommies teddies.
Why focus on a non problem as your barrier to the path forward?
Pic related these 7 onions cost $1 at the store you can't grow them at home for less than that. And this is true of 99.9% of the food you eat.
Oh and BTW the /out/ heroes/mascots uncle Ted and Alaska cabin guy and that Maine hermit all bought food or stole food they didn't pretend to be self sufficient they had the right priorities. Thank you and good luck young people
