So after barely 1.5 years of moderate use my Mountain Equipment drilite hard shell is leaking again (got the first one exchanged on warranty after it leaked within the same time frame and use period).
So obviously, now that winter is coming (and autumn is here and I actually gotta be /out/ for work quite a bit) I need a new one.
But which one?
It specifically got the ME because a) at 460g it was the heaviest with the thickest fabric I could find (didn’t do me to well...) b) it’s actually cut for non-fat people (unlike all the American brands) and c) was affordable.
What do I get now?
I don’t want to pay fucking 800€ for a rain jacket that even if it’s good, will stop working after 5 years anyways, but I don’t want to buy some 100€ crap that’ll essentially be disposable and wheight tons.
But most importantly, i don’t wanna spend what’s still a lot of money on a supposedly good jacket, that will fail on me when I least expect it (pic related. Boy was that a miserable day).
